About Crystal

 

Crystal Coons is a goddess in training who does her best to remain humble. A passionate and powerful author, she began writing when she fell in love with the animated television series "Gargoyles," and felt compelled to create characters that were just as identifiable. While she holds a love for fantasy close to her heart, she is also fascinated with organized crime and it creeps in from the shadows, making an appearance in her film and game writing.

 

An Italian bastard child born and raised in New Jersey, Crystal Coons found escape from boring everyday life by losing herself in the stories of games and movies. Her fascination with visual storytelling led her to create her own powerful characters travelling through fantastical lands or fictional mobsters ruling cities in the tri-state area. It is her penchant for placing woman in non-traditional roles that acts as the cornerstone of her unique writing. With the encouragement of her eccentric theater teacher, and the desire to learn the finer points of storytelling, she pursued higher education at Full Sail University.

 

Crystal attended the university with the intention to pave her own pathway as bright as the Bifrost of Nordic legend, and she'd like to believe that she's come close. With a desire to master fantasy, Crystal intends to use her BFA in Creative Writing to craft stories for films and games. Her debut feature film script is titled Mob Princess, which revolves around a female Don leading her Family in a turf war that was generations in the making.
